Is there a word in the English language for the whitish stuff that accumulates at the back of the tongue. if there isnt then may i suggest 'tonguegunk' as an appropriate word to be included in the dictionary and for me to go down in history as its originator.

Is the gunk you're referring to actually on your tongue or on your tonsils? Cause if its the yucky stuff that gathers around your tonsils, someone already beat you to it - tonsiliths. If not - luck good with that! : )

tell me where the back of the tongue ends and where the tonsils begin. Quizmonster where are you??
If you are stuck

try "plaque"

If that is too poncey, try "fur"

If you want to look like an intellectural, try 'sordes' - that is sor-deez, it's isnt but no-one will know

If you are wondering about the smell, halitosis
or if that is too Greek, then crapulent

Is there anything else I can help you with ?
