what does teaching a chicken to suck eggs mean?

Never heard of teaching a Chicken to suck eggs but the saying that's more common is You can't teach you granma to suck eggs meaning the older and wiser person has more experience in life than you do.
That sounds like "nailing jelly to the ceiling" i.e. something wich is intrinsically impossible, because chickens have beaks and therefore cannot suck in the same way.
I also only know of the can't teach granny to suck eggs. Basically telling you don't give needless assistance or persume to offer advice to an expert. Highlights the tendency of young people who give unwanted advicce to their elders
And nothing succeeds like a toothless budgie.....
