On December 15 1956, Elvis Presley headlined a packed concert during a special performance of the KWKH Louisiana Hayride. Apparently, he did encore after encore and the crowd wouldn't stop screaming for him to reappear. The Hayride manager Horace Logan was forced to quieten the crowd by telling them 'Elvis has left the building!'
