Where does the phrase 'I am rubber, you are glue' come from? I first heard it in the computer game 'Monkey Island'.

I think the jist of it was whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you and was a way of deflecting an insult or turning it round on the insulter, not sure about the origin of the phrase but that's what I remember it meaning
