Don't you just cringe when some people call you things like Buddy and Matey? I know they're terms of endearment and there are plenty of worse things to be called, but oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh nooooooo!

Had a neighbour who always called me babes. Lovely man but it made me cringe.

i hate bab. really hate it but its just what some people say so i ignore it
I've always hated "mate" - I find it vaguely intimidating.
I don't mind being called mate so long as the person doing the calling is actually my mate! I can tolerate buddy so long as the person doing the calling is American but from a Brit buddy sounds pathetic.
What about "bruv"? LOL
I hate being called Madam or Doll. I like it in the States when people call me Miss - it makes me feel young.
Bruv is fine so long as the person is actually my biological brother or fellow union member :-)
What about if he's an homosexualist?
I hate them all.......darlin', sweetheart, love, m'duck, mate, honey, hen, sweetie.....

There are some situations where I will ignore it, when it happens in my professional life then I do say something.
Doesn't bother me at all.
I hate being called love especially by some one who's younger than me it makes me feel 20 years older!!

My husband hated being called mate. I hate being called lover (Bristol word) and petal, which I think is from the North.
In our local "Frankie & Benny's, "is everything O.K. for you guys"!

Where I come from they call you Maid. It`s dying out now though.
I don't mind being called any of them if it meant I would never again be refered to as "you guys" I hate it more than I can I can describe....guys.
