Hand foot and mouth disease in adults! Anyone else had it and felt terrible?

It's supposed to be extremely rare for adults to catch it! But wouldn't you believe it, I have and it's my birthday! Anyway, I feel absolutely terrible and would like to know if any other adults out there have experienced it and how long it took for them to get better?
