I typed into google looking for the above and got - 1 000 000 UK£ = 1.15417966 million €. I then hit search again after a few seconds and got - 1 000 000 UK£ = 1.14812019 million €. As I hit search each time it seemed to switch between both different amounts. What is happening here, what is the correct exchange rate as by my calculations there is a €6000 difference each time?

The value of the currency fluctuates accordingly to the stock exchange.
UK£ 1 000 000 = 1.14812019 million Euros

When I Googled I got the above amount
It depends on the fluctuations and the exchange rate with whoever you use as they vary. It seems a lot of difference in large figures but is pennies in a few pounds

But it is switching between those two exact amounts if you keep hitting search.
I've just done it and these are the results

ive just tried it and it doesnt change on mine, even when pressing search over and over
you have the bid and offer spread price if you had a million pounds you'd get 1.48 million euro's if you wanted a million pounds it would cost you 1.54 nillion Euros that's the tourist rates, the real rates are the interbank rates, ie the average of the 2, see here:http://www.hifx.co.uk/marketwatch.aspx
read 1.148 and 1.154 respectively above
