here it goes....I need to move out of the rented accom. im in for many reasons. I've been to see a few houses in the past 2weeks but none have been right. today i went to see one thats perfect. but now i need references to give to letting agency. problem is I havent told landlord im moving out yet and dont feel like I can go ask him for a reference. Ive only ever rented once ,thats the house im in now. been here for over 2 years. ive been a great tennant, kept the house in immaculate condition at all times and pay rent every week without fail, and have had a good relationship with landlord.

reason I dont want to hand in my notice to vacate yet is Im obviously not guarenteed this house or any other and have always had bad luck in finding houses. e.g. finding a perfect house putting a deposit on it then getting a phone call saying its been let to someone else!!! Im a trustworthy person and my daughter is great she always keeps her room tidy, bless her. i've only finished college a while ago and not had a job so i cant get references that way. I just dont know of any other way to get references.
can anyone help me?
thanks in advance :)

my refernces came from one from work and one was a personal reference. if you get on well with your landlord speak to him, you have to give him notice remember and i'm sure he's not going to have a problem renting it out again
have you a tutor in college or previous employer to give you a reference , how about your childminder
I might be wrong about this but I think you can get a reference off anyone if they have a professional position i.e your doctor or as pinktwink suggests, your tutor/teacher.
Good luck.
