Whatever next Muslims not offended by CHRISTMAS trees,

Others hiding beside PIG body parts.

In a separate incident, UK Border Agency officials caught a group of Iraqi illegal immigrants trying to enter Britain by hiding in a lorry full of ham.

"The French driver of the lorry is not thought to have been aware that the men boarded the vehicle." yeah right lol

cant imagine why anyone would want to go to Haverhill though pmsl
I saw this in the right hand corner and I knew it'd be you.
What exactly is the question?
Christmas trees to the best of my reccollection are a German invention and are formed out of their ancient paganistic practices.
As a Christian I don't find Cristmas trees offensive, are you a Christian?
If you are do you find foreign paganistic relics and iconography all over the high streets offensive?
If not, why not?
I don't think they have any objection to fake Christmases, so fake Christmas trees should not be a problem.
Jesus Christ is one of the Muslim faith's prophets. Muslims are not offended by Christmas trees. Even for the mail, this is a non-story. Your interpretation of it, aptly displays your ignorance.
I liked the separate incident best about the illegals hiding in a lorry load of ham : -)

That's Muslims for you!
That is a valid observation TRT
...a group of Iraqi illegal immigrants trying to enter Britain by hiding in a lorry full of ham.

Just as not all UK nationals are Christian, it is obviously news to you that not all Iraqis are Muslim. If they were from the Kurdish part of Iraq (which is highly probable) their faith will be Yazidis

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yazidism

Unusually for the Mail, which usually says if people are muslim, whether it is relevant or not, the Faith of the ham stowaways is not given.
"Whatever next" is the new "You couldn't make it up".
That's an even better observation Gromit.
As an adjunct I should have specified that that's some Muslims for you.
two from Iraq, two from Iran

That is interesting.
I was panicking a bit when I read the article as I just couldnt visualise it, but thankfully they very helpfully included a photograph of a fake plastic christmas tree, so all was well. Was the journo too ashamed to put their real name to the story?

Thats journalists for you. Whatever next? No photos either?
What's the question here?

Are you trying to indicate some kind of inconsistency between the Muslim faith and how these men have chosen to stow away? Because that's really, really petty.

As Gromit has said, the Mail generally is very eager to point out if people involved in a story are Muslim, which isn't mentioned at all here - which implies they're not or we don't know. It's possible that they may be - the article says the men are currently being questioned - but it's kind of dodgy to just assume that they are.
Sneaking in inside a pig, a dog, a beer barrel or a cello? Probably not they object to all of those as well!
What I'd like to know is why a Christmas tree has to be imported. Surely, there are trees in the UK.....
....it's a BOGAMF deal....the credit crunch is biting.....

Gromit and all your other aliases, lighten up a little, get a life and stop trying to instruct us all with your smug slanted knowledge.

This posting was supposed to be a little light hearted, but I should have known that the liberal left do not have a sense of humour, especially when Muslims or illegal immigrants trying to sneak into our country are concerned.

Just check past questions how many are actually questions or just statements? Incidently looking at the past 20, I think you will find that almost all mine are actually questions.
especially when Muslims or illegal immigrants trying to sneak into our country are concerned.

But there's nothing to indicate that they're Muslims....

And notice that quite often, when you get statements, people (including you) ask for a question. If you've always asked questions, this implies that you understand this. What's the question here?
