I hate posts that are an excuse for brummie bashing, the impersonaters have a stronger midland accent than the brummies themselves.
sure I can laugh at myself but its still hurtful, no disrespect haysi, I know you were not creating a post to have a go at midland accents but these "regional accent best and worst posts" always end up the same way
cuddleme what i mean't is i don't like any accent other than
black country.by the way i live in the walsall area so any other accent sounds strange to me.
I'm not fond of Midland accents but I love Julie's and she's a Midlander to me and I have a friend who lives in Walsall and I love his accent, but maybe that's more because he's my friend :)
Scouse accents do my head in which is hard as I work with several scousers - some are worse than others though.
I wouldn't expect everyone to like my accent either but you can't help where you come from can you? :)
I must admit that I do tailor my accent when at work or when I travel about so that people can understand me. However with friends I talk 90 to the dozen and it would seem like a foreign language to non Scots!
