I am afraid your attitude SP is part of the problem. As I have stated before (of which you tore to shreds) there is a huge and disproportionate problem with black criminals in the UK (assuming the BBC are not infact racist and merely reporting facts). It is the accepting brother, like yourself, who, at my guess, are law abiding decent citezens, which cause the problem.
Just like very few, if any, imans publically speak out about defending islam as a "peaceful" religion there are also very few black people speaking out about the problem with black criminals (especially the youth). The only ones you see are harping on about inner-city inequality, how racist England is or work in some two-bit youth club trying to help troubled black kids who are already beyond the law.
When I argued about no middle ground with our coloured cousins, you were the first to ridicule it. I stressed there are no average black people. They are either well-to-do, intellectuals following decent careers and morals or are crack dealing, scumbags intent on stabbing and shooting anything that moves who wear tribal clothing and listen to violent anti-establishment (c)Rap music. How odd I was called a racist for saying 50 percent of the black clan are intellectual opposed to, say, 10 percent of whities.
So I ask you as an intellectual black man why do blacks seem to be over represented in violent crime statistics. Why are the ones who wear baggy trousers and listen to loud music on huge headphones whilst sitting on the London underground more likely to stab an old lady than offer her their seat.

Wardy the answer is simple, non-white people in this country on the whole have less opportunities to do well than their white counterparts, as such they find it much easier to fall into a life of crime. The problems are intrinsic in society, they start out in this country with very little and don't gain much from being here, being in low paid work or non-work on the whole, poor attidtudes towards them from the natives, poorer social networks, they often have language barriers and as such greater difficulties working the system, poorer acheivment levels at school, and a load of biggots on top of that to deal with. What's needed isn't necessarily easy to provide but playing the blame game is probably the single most counter-productive thing you can do. It's always easier to blame others for societies ills than to dare look upon oneself.

Here's where I think most of the problems lie:
1. Poor education
2. Lack of opportunities
3. Disassociation from the wider communitie
4. Lack of positive role models
5. Racism (oh yeah - let's not forget that old chestnut)
6. Poor housing
7. Peer group pressure
If you took a black child at the age of two, away from his rubbish school, rubbish high rise flat, and swapped him with the child of a lawyer living in Hertfordshire and got him to attend a private school, that child would do well because of his surroundings.
Similarly, if you put a privileged child in a rubbish school and got him to stay with a family in a nasty estate in Peckham, similarly you would see that child fail.
You seem to be proffering the idea that it all comes down to race. That is simplistic and, frankly, nonsense.
If that were the case, every single black child in the country would be out committing crime. There are a whole load of influences that impact on the way kids grow up.

Race is pretty much the same thing as genetics in my non-scientific opinion, and it is fair to say you and others often class me as racist.
But please tell me, is it really racist to say black people have a 50 percent gentic orientation to be an above average citizen whereas white people have around a ten?

I agree with your analysis of poverty and racism. However Professor Campbell (yes I know we can discount her, she may be clever but she is a woman and left wing!!). She considers you can and should not try and make an analysis of violence without considering the culture of gender, how is masculinity expressed.

It's something that tends to get overlooked in the 'race to blame' (forgive the pun)...that it's overwhelmingly boys who turn to guns and knives.

My very non racist friend went to join the Fire Brigade, and failed, but came away disgusted at the racism he encountered there.
Positive discrimination for blacks and women literally guaranteed that he would not get in, because the service had quotas to fill.
So, now he is very bitter, and that is a shame, as he is a really nice bloke. But, he was up against political correctness, and a very uneven playing field.
The same can be said for the police, where the most qualified candidate is rejected for reason of gender or ethnicity. Yet we tell our kids, to work hard in school to get a good job.
Young white males should not be discriminated against for the P.C. brigade to fill quotas.
Why should my kids be denied opportunity because they are white and male?

Perhaps the statistics we need are "What percentage of the black/coloured population have been found guilty of a major crime" and similarly the percentage of whites.
