The people I work for recently had a visitor who from the moment she walked into the house began being bitten by fleas. I never saw a flea in the house before she came...she says that fleas don't bite everyone and because I'm pregnant they wouldn't affect me....that's why I never noticed them. She said that fleas don't bite men. Is this true? Nobody else has been bitten...there are two kids (girl 5 and boy 8) and the dad. She told me that fleas wouldn't bite the little girl...not sure why...something about hormones. What's she on about?

What a load of rubbish! Of course fleas will bite men and children. Some people may be more sensitive to bites and get the itchy red lumps but the others can still get bitten!

Are you sure its fleas? It could be cheyletiella mites which certainly affect some people and not others.
