It started when I was a young child 4 or 5 yrs. Couldn't tell why I would
have a strange dream then I would wake up horrified with anxiety that If I
moved I would fall for infinity. Or to get the same distress I use to dream
and see an infinitly large or infinitly small amount of something that I
could not identify and be surounded by it, then wake up in sheer horror and
be terrorized it was still around me for hours. I guess it was to much for
my young mind to take in.

It went away for a while until I was 16 and had a fever. I woke up with the
same kinda fear that I had at 5 and cringed about the same. Then it stopped
happening to me until January of 2006. I had my first "panic attack" in a
class I was attending for the military. Ever since then, the horrible and
nervous confusion of those dreams now affects me throughout the day. I
imagine or dream about the size of the universe or about me trying to walk
through a doorway just to find myself back trying to walk through it again.
It continues like that for and infinite loop until i either have a panic
attack or take sleeping pills and pass out. Only to be waken the next day
still clouded minded and nervous about what happened. If There are other
instances that trigger my fear of infinty. i am now taking Paxila nd it has
relived some the occurences or atleast the severity of them.

If anyone else has exp the same please let me know!

That is a really bizarre fear! I don't enjoy the thought of infinity myself to be honest as its hard to consider that the universe has no beginning and no end. You kind of just have to accept that that is how it is.

Try thinking what it is about this fear that frightens you. You surely realise that nothing bad is going to happen to you as you live day to day with no terrible occurances (apart from the panic attacks etc that are related to you being anxious).

Hi ...yes I have had similar sensations since I was about 8. I was staring into a mirror and suddenly a teeror came over me and continues to do so at different moments . I take an anti depressant to relieve the symptoms and another form of medication..If you'd like to chat just post a brief answer....Sandi
