Hi All

Me andf the other half have both started receiving a lot of emails (seperate accounts) supposedly giving info on stock options to keep an eye on. The content leads me to think it is trader type info and assume our email addresses have somehow got onto a database. Neither of us have had any dealings in the financial sector and no interest (or capital) to make use of the info - if it is genuine.

The sender appears to be different on all the mails but the layout of them are similar and suggest different companies in most cases,

There is no problem with deleting them and I suppose they are not true spam but is there any way I can stop them? The sender appears to be different on all the mails but the layout and format appear the same.

Thanks for any help you can give.

It's just spam. Delete it.

If you've ever put your email address on any website, or given it to some random website to sign up for a product, then your email address can be given away. Also, spammers use a brute force method for getting emails, by just making up email addresses at certain domains (they may try '[email protected]' or something, not know that the email address exists).
