morning all, I hope that you are well and that whatever you are doing for the Bank Holiday, if anything, goes according to plan. Apart from my on line shop there is nothing in the calendar so it might be a quiet day all round. Had our church organised picnic yesterday which was nice. And there was talk of organising one a month, though for how long is anyone's guess.

the weather has turned decidedly cold and autumnal and i think what ever summer we had is now gone for another year. Though of course we could have a further spell of fine weather, an Indian Summer but the forecast isn't great.
Keeping well?
Heard from your Oz friends?
Question Author
morning/afternoon 1ozzy
Question Author
ok sort of, still pain in the back and right hip, but i am sure this will go in time, and no worryingly i haven't heard from my friends in Oz.
how are you today
Question Author
i only sent the last letter to the daughter in Dubbo, two days ago so it won't be there for at least a week i suspect.
Doing ok thanks.
Kept myself amused doing boring chores.
Stacked the dishwasher and turned it on. Organised dinner. Mowed the lawn, even though it probably didn't need mowing.
Might split some firewood, even though we don't need any splitting.
The joys of social distancing
I even cleaned the mower, must be bored ;-(
Question Author
it will ease in time, chores are a bore, but someone has to do them....
If I was rich I'd hire someone to do the mundanetasks, but then I'd get bored watching them.
Can't win ;-)
Question Author
i rarely get that bored, there is always something to do, even if it's something on tv. I have a new book to read and another book half finished, which i must get on with.
Not a fan of TV myself.
I used to devour books at a rapid rate. Can't find any that interest me these days.
Love being outdoors.
Spring is about to spring.
Hopefully outdoors more
Question Author
i forget that we have our autumn when you are just getting into spring. i wish it was warm all year round, i do get quite down when the nights go dark early and the mornings are dark till late too. I like the brightness of spring, summer. But i guess we can't change it, so just have to bear with it.
I don't mind cold, as long as the sun shines.
I don't mind extreme heat, as long as there is no humidity.
I couldn't live in a tropical paradise, the humidity would kill me.
Quite lucky, where I live there is lots of sunshine and very little humidity.
The drawback is a lack of rain.
Question Author
i am sure i could live in a warm climate all year round, though when its been hot here upwards of 30c then the humidity is horrendous.
We quite often get temperatures in the high 40's during summer, once or twice 50+.
But no humidity.
Dry heat is much more socially acceptable.
Question Author
it is, though we get high humidity when it's hot, making it hard to sleep particularly.
Have a lovely day Emmie.
I'm going to find some more chores to do.
Stay safe and happy
Question Author
i can't imagine ever having a temperature in the 50's that's just too hot. Around the 30 mark is fine for me, all year would be lovely, sadly i am only dreaming..... autumn is here and the fact is the days are shorter now and much cooler.
Question Author
bye 1ozzy, have a good day mate,
Good morning all
