Good Morning Early Birds

i hope you are all well, and that your day is a good one, do you have any plans for the day?

i have an engineer coming today to fix the washing machine, which has gone on the blink,
though i haven't been given an actual time slot so far. It says 07.15-20.00 hours, which means i will have to be in all day, but i don't mind as i had a lovely day out yesterday. My friends organised a picnic in a local park, and for once the weather held off which was great. apparently they are going to organise one every Sunday in August so i might just pop along next sunday too.

there is a glimmer of daylight but i guess it won't be fully light for another half hour or so. The forecast doesn't seem too bad but its been very changeable in recent days, yesterday did get a tad cool half way through the picnic, but it was lovely for all that.

Morning Emmie. OH has stopped being sick now but I've been feeling quite queasy with bad stomach pains and a burning sensation - touch wood I haven't been sick yet.

I really hate going back to work after having a couple of days off but unless some rich Nigerian Prince gifts me $333m I will have to keep going...

The picnic sounds nice. I love a nice picnic out in the open air when the sun is shining down. There's not much of summer left so you might as well enjoy a picnic while you can.

i hope you don't pick up the bug they have had, nothing like being sick to waylay one.

if someone gifted me loads of money i would buy this flat and have more security of tenure. I haven't been in full time work for some time and glad that i have now fully retired as i could stand the pace any longer.

Morning all, a mixed bag here weather wise it seems...... Had news yesterday that a very close friend has contracted covid and has been in bed all week and not good...despite having been vaccinated in March/April, getting it done when her husband was called in. Makes me wonder what she would have been like without the vaccination. My daughter has been fine and escapes quarantine at midnight tonight.

My son got pinged so has to isolate. The joys of it! He's so grumpy.

I have to book my 2nd vax but I can't remember how I done it. Whether I did it online or over the phone. I can only remember putting my NHS number in but my OH and I got appointments 5 minutes apart.
