You are overseas, say Portugal. You have your PCR test in Lisbon- is it 72 hours that you have to be on the plane out of Lisbon or back in the UK? (and does this alter if you have to change planes in Amsterdam - with KLM?)

Many thanks. in advance.

"You must take the test in the 3 days before the service on which you will arrive in England departs.

For example, if you travel directly to England on Friday, you can take the test on or after Tuesday and will need to have the negative result available before boarding on Friday."

one question though, I assume that this is leaving Lisbon - and not Amsterdam as she will be in transit there for a couple of hours....Lisbon to AMS and then switching to Manchester.
So long as she arrives in the UK within the appropriate time frame yes but she should check to see if there are other requirements in Amsterdam

seems that the Neths thinks that Portugal is a safe country....
Its England that matters though (for these purposes) dont forget to remind her to book and pay for her day 2 and 8 tests too
