In his Christmas song 'Wonderful Christmastime' he sings

"The choir of children sing their song,
They practiced all year long,
Ding dong ding dong"

Blimey - all that practice for that!

The word is out
About the town
To lift a glass
And don't look down

. . . otherwise you'll notice that you've split it all over your lap again ;-)
^^^ split???

You'll notice it every time you hear it now.
Macca recorded everything on that track himself. Despite other members of Wings (including Linda) appearing in the video, they made no contribution to the writing or recording process.
The Covid's ripe
The pubs are shut
Were home home tonight
What rotten luck
Simply having a horrible Christmastime.
The song earns McCartney $600,000 annually or $45Million+ since he wrote it.

I can’t decide whether ‘’We all Stand Together”, (the ‘Frog Chorus’), is a more substantial work and better, or utter garbage.

McCartney did a lot of really terrible stuff. Lennon did a few naff songs, Harrison was the surprise post Beatles winner.

I can't stand Lennon's Happy Xmas (War Is Over), mainly for the godawful backing vocals.

Thanks nailit, I'm glad someone reads my posts.:-)

Why’s a Krishna doing a Christmas song?
Just blatant cashing in and trying desperately not to fade into obscurity.
Sunk this started out as a light hearted post, why do have to turn it into something serious with all the statistics?
'krishna' ?

Very sorry. I didn’t realise this post was in the Jokes section.
You carry on being hilariously funny, and I will go and check out the ‘Model Railway’ section.
oooooh , get her.
Sunk, what a charmer you are. Yes, it is in the jokes section, a place where you obviously shouldn't be, so please jog on to the nerd section where you will feel more at home!
Nailit,
Yes, the Beatles were temporarily obsessed with Hairy Krishna, she was a big mate of Eleanor Rigby.
Cheers for that Barsel

So I won’t, and I will stick around for the jokes :-)
Ok, well I see you do have a sense of humour in there somewhere with Hairy Krishna :-)
George was the only Beatle who actually became a Krishna devotee. In fact, John dismissed the whole thing as "pie in the sky" in I Found Out on the Plastic Ono Band album in 1970.
