I'm upgrading to Sky superfast broadband.
My Sky box and tv are both close to the router, so I can easily connect them by cable. Do I simply buy the highest cat. cable available , or are there 'horses for courses' cables which will give me the best connection ?
thanks in advance

Sky Superfast Broadband claims an average transmission speed of 59Mbps.

A bog-standard Cat 5e cable is rated in excess of 2.5 Gbps i.e. more than 40 times the transmission speed you require.
Which surely should have been supplied by Sky anyway?
Yes - any Cat5e will do - use the yellow one supplied by Sky.
Does your Sky box have built in wifi? Or have you got a wifi adapter for the sky box?

Is your tv a smart tv? It may connect by wifi as well.
