My Hotpoint washer is digital and this last couple of weeks whilst doing a wash,it keeps beeping now and then.I think my husband must have messed up the "computer" in it whilst I was in hospital, looked in the troubleshooting section of manual, but nothing there
Has anyone had this with there washer?

Does it show any error code ?

Forgot to mention, when I press the off button at the end of wash cycle, and have opened the door, the screen starts showing the start of a new cycle,I have to keep pressing the off button until it finally stops...most annoying.
Question Author
No ,no error code shows.
Probably needs maintenance. Is it still under warranty ? Could chat to Hotpoint customer service on the phone.
Is there a reset button?

It's a long shot but have you checked if it's trying to reverse?
Question Author
How do u mean,Douglas?
Have you ever heard a lorry reversing kloof?
I've looked at the manual online and I can't see any mention of beeping. Two suggestions; turn-off the power to the machine (or remove the plug from the wall) or clean the filter. There's no suggestion that the filter may be blocked but experience shows it's a fix-all with no logic behind it at all.
Question Author
bhg,I know what reverse means but cannot connect it to washer.I will unplug it and see what happens...why on earth did I not think of that!!!!. The filter was cleaned out a short while ago,so don't think it can be that.Thank you for your suggestion will let you know how it goes..will be tomorrow when put washer on.
Have a nice afternoon
Douglas was making a joke, kloof - nothing to do with your washer.

I realised later on...felt such a idiot!!!!
bhg...put washer on this morning and STILL beeping, after unplugging it overnight..gonna ring Hotpoint .Have a nice day everyone
Question Author
Been onto Hotpoint via Live Chat and the first thing he said was that it could be the filter (just like I read on various websites),so will have a go at that although it was done not so long ago.Fingers Crossed cod the beeps get on my nerves...plus should not be doing so. Nice day everyone
