All was peaceful and quiet as Janet and John arrived back to their little holiday compound......couples dining or sipping nightcaps by candle light.....only the chirping of cicadas or the whispering giggles of a fruity couple could be heard...until....John fell up the steps.....
Three loud sweary words and lots of shushing from Janet....

John felt his way up the wall in the dark......and hit the......let's light up the whole corridor switch and shine lights on fruity couples.......and the doorbell of apartment C......

Janet parks John in a chair on the patio where he proceeds to substitue three matchsticks for the useless wick of the citrus candle in a glass holder.....

Janet wonders if the ensuing bonfire will be dangerous....John reassures her...of course it won't...what could happen......just before....
the glass holder explodes.....

Janet has filled a tumbler with Beirao...... :-(

He's not getting out of this chair, Tony....I'll pick up the glass and clear the table of wax......lord knows what he'll do if I let him move....

I've poured him a large Stroma, NoM.....he's out of harms way with that....x

Marval....believe it or not....it was one bottle of red between us at dinner.....unless he has a hip flask I don't know about.... :-)
