Eyes Swell Up And Go Down After Surgery ...

i had surgery the other day and i noticed that when i wake up in the morning my eyes are all puffed up, and then during the day they go down and are almost normal by the end of the day.

this is apparently caused by sleeping flat. i have tried to sleep more upright, added 2-3 new pillows etc, but find it hurts my neck and is hard to sleep.

i dont particularly mind my eyes being puffed up for a bit in the morning - if it means i get a better nights sleep.

but, is this ok to do? am i causing myself any problems etc by just allowing it to swell and go down again each night?

or am i slowing down healing? or making it worse or anything?

obviously if i have to, i will keep using the extra pillows.

thanks

Not an uncommon situation after cataract surgery and is "no big deal."

In answer to your above questions......yes it is "OK to do" and you are not delaying healing or doing any permanent damage.
