Delay In Publishing The Chilcot Report

I am unreliably informed that the delay in publishing this report is due
to embarrassment concerning a retracted portion of the original document.
At the time there was an outbreak of mice in several regions of Iraq
threatening that years harvest. The minister responsible put out an
instruction to establish a stockpile of vermin control measures to deal
with the problem.
Unfortunately, the English translation of the intercept of this message
came out as 'procurement of weapons of mouse destruction', which was
misheard in a subsequent verbal transcript.
Sadly, an unexpected quirk in the course of history.
