I got asked to toast the haggis at a Burns supper one year, but I never got invited back.

Turns out I was supposed to boil it.

Back in the 60s a colleague asked me to bring a haggis into work, and she'd cook it for everyone to try.
I didn't realise she had no idea how to do it, and we had to scrape it from the pot! At least the neeps and tatties were edible.
