Is thare any symbolic reason why the pope and cardanals where a skull cap type hat similar to the jewish cap but bigger in circumference? and why does it have a bit of material sticking up out of the middle of it? also how do they attach them to there heads to stop them blowing away in the wind...I was watching the pope arrive thinking these things today.. am i normal?

Thats it chuck .. the zucchetto why has it got the pointy bit on the top.. it really annoys me.. i'd feel like getting a pair of scissors and cutting it off if i were the pope..I wonder if they use double sided tape to keep it on his head?
Who really cares about some outdated *&^%
It must have the pointy bit so it is easy to pull off, like most berets have.

Just one zucchetto ... give it to me. Delicious ...
Umm I think I'll go have a lie down.
I wonder if they buy them by cup size 'DD' etc?
