Kin adverts! Last couple of times I have to watch a bleeding advert before the clip, they give you a helpful countdown but NO, i can it straight away. That's one punter gone, I can't help feeling that they've shot themselves in the foot on this one!

yes but they did alright before, how did they earn up to now?
They didn't. They were bought by Google a couple of years after start up for £882million without ever making a profit. Since then, they have been subsidised by Google's vast advertising generated wealth.

Their is a new determination to make it pay its way, and they are predicting its first profits this year.

I can understand that but surely if they pi55 off the customers it's going to be counter productive.
All the TV playbacks iTVPlayer, 4OD and Five have advertisements prior to the programme you want to catch up on. (the exception being the BBC iPlayer).

If the content is worth watching then you will put up with advertising. Sure they will lose some viewers, but that is compensated for by making a bit of money.
Put it another way: Which would you rather have, 50 paying customers or 100 non-paying customers?
" but surely if they pi55 off the customers it's going to be counter productive."

Are you forgetting something, it's free! you are not a customer, you are a user.
I would happily put up with adverts for the simple fact that I can watch what I want when I want.
