Does anyone know the criteria for removal of questions and answers ?
I've had a couple of questions and 4 answers removed over the last couple of years and never understood why. I've never used objectional language or said anything libellous so why the removals ?

It used to be on the old AB that if 3 people reported you, the question was automatically removed. Don't know if this still applies.
maybe you posted a question in the wrong category?
Somtimes your question may be ok, but maybe the answers got out of hand (rudeness, racism, sexism etc etc) and they decided to delete the whole thing (question and answers).

Also, maybe YOUR answer was ok on someone elses question, but because the question may have been dodgy, or maybe again the answers got out of hand, the whole question was deleted (and your answer with it).

There may have been nothing wrong with your answer.

Yes that all makes sense. It would be nice though in the profile if instead of just showing ,removed, they had a simple code to show why.
That would be quite a good idea, modeller - I've had several removals which I know were part of threads later removed. At the moment the profile doesn't differentiate.
^ .. and I don't think my replies would have given offence (well I hope not!)

I did suggest a code to be put in the profile andI can see that might present problems but where it could be used easily is where you see ' answer removed ' in the thread.
A code letter there would show why without even identifying the sender.
