I've just read on Yahoo news that an appeal is going to be made to the Attorney General for the "Lenient sentences" to be reviewed due to complaints fron the NSPCC and public. I hope they all get life and I mean life!!

Absolutely!!!!!!
Unfortunately, they will probably get out in a couple of years thanks to our ridiculous justice system.
So I say,
Sterilise them!!
Make sure that if they do get out they can never have children again!
sounds a bit like the Saudi practice of cutting thieves' hands off so they can never steal again - works, perhaps, but a bit barbaric all the same.

Er, the boyfriend was not the father, so Sterilisation would not prevent a similar scenario occurring.

But vengeance is sweet, eh?
People who mistreat animals are barred from owning them again so I don't see why the same shouldn't apply to those abusing children. They should have the possibiity that any of them could ever produce a child removed from them permanently. As for their human rights as far as I am concerned they ain't got any!!
Bobbins i completely agree with you.
Yes, the sentences should be double at least, please use the poor mite's name-Peter-that's all that's left to him and do you think that the childrens services should be able to wriggle free? There's no one to stand up for children if they don't take responsibility.
Looks like all you have to do is write a nice letter to the Judge. I suppose the wicked woman will be getting her writing pad out again.

Death penalty for people like this. That stops them reoffending.
Just a point of pedantry - the appeal is not being made to the Attorney General but by the Attorney General.

He has no power to alter sentences but has the reponsibility to appeal to the Court of Appeal if he thinks a particular sentence was inappropriate.
I couldn't agree more with you on these lenient sentences. But I have to ask, when in this country has life ever really meant life, except in very few cases.
If you take a human life the way they have then you lose your human rights. If you can't behave like a civilized human being you don't get treated like one.
