Apologies if this has already been asked. Today is 22nd, correct? Yet I noticed a question YESTERDAY 21st asking for the answer to 24D (as printed in today's magazine) and the answer given as Cane Toad. I remember thinking is someone was asking for an answer to last week's magazine crossword, but it was this week's - a day early. Can someone explain. I have tried to find yesterday's question, but try as I might, I cannot go back any further than late last night's questions, and it will not let me go any further. I am convinced I saw the answer as Cane Toad yesterday.

I knew I was right! Now can someone explain how that could happen. I am sure the questiioner mentioned Sunday Express Magazine and 24D. Can someone find it, because I can't.
Tried to look back, but wouldn't let me - sorry

It does seem strange that we cannot go back further than late last night. But if my mind is not playing tricks and I and atsgran are correct, how can a question be asked a day before the magazine comes out? Where would atsgran have seen it?
Question Author
I meant to say where would the person who asked the question had seen it?
Using the search, I found the question asked on Saturday at 13.42 by satchsteviet.
It was answered by Davao at 13.53.
The question was headed Sunday Express 1,000 Crossword. Spooky!

Thanks for that Joto. At least I know I'm not going nuts. Perhaps he had an advance copy and an extra day to struggle with the clues.
The magazines are printed before the newspapers, they sometimes get sent with the saturday papers. I used to work in a off licence/general store and we very often used to get them early
