Latest Mori poll puts the Conservatives 20 points in front, not the biggest lead they have had but definitley growing.

In addition nearly 2/3 are dissatisfied with McBottle (33% were last month).

What will it take to get rid of this sweaty idiot ?

Will he comlpete his scorched earth policy before being forced out. The big loosers will be labour, they will be lucky if they even see a seat for the next 20yrs by the time he has finished. What a nob.

I'm sure Cameron and Ozzie are polishing their monocle's in excited expectation.

Alas the opposition does not get to call the general election and so they'll have to wait and prey the recovery is slow in coming.

Still maybe that'll give them time to think of an economic policy!
If I was Cameron, given the state of the economy, I'd be praying Brown won the next election!!

Dont worry jake the likes of you will soon be choking on your museli.

As for economic policy, how do you honestly expect them to state something when they really have no idea of the state of the books. We can guess but until they get in they wont know. to promise anything after what Brown has done would be folly.

To suggest that they have no ideas on policy is a bit naive or in your case blinkered as usual.

the fact is McBottle has cocked up big time.
youngmafbog ,

Strangely enough, despite the polls, Labour won a council bye-election from the Tories last week.

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/artic le/ALeqM5ixWJGptLBrbNHXnnukdHIKw4gYtQ

Where I live, they also had a bye-election a couple of weeks ago, and Labour increased its majority.

What seems to be happening is that people are dissatisfied with the Government, but realise the Tory option of doing nothing and hoping it all sorts itself out, is not worth voting for.
we should all fear these labour losers hanging on until the final day thursday 3rd june 2010.........help!

as the government majority of the day has the 'advantage' of choosing the election day when they see they are in the best possible position to win again and the stone cold fact that they are positioning the country to slide happily, for their old ideals, deeper into the mess over which they so happily administer...................it will get worse, much worse, probably even more worse than you can possibly imagine!

the old red flag is being unfurled as we speak,
Haven't you lot got it yet ? They're ALL a bunch of Clowns. Which Chancellor or ex Chancellor or University educated MP told us that the Banks were out of control ? None of 'em saw it coming so what good are they ? I know -let's replace a bunch of Labour idiots with a bunch of Tory idiots !!
They inherited the strongest economy in Europe, set about wrecking it and now they will do their best to leave a pile of cack for the Tories to sort out once more in the hope that the public will forget what a shower of sh1t they are by the time the Tories have rebuilt the mess left by the current bunch of sweaties now running Britain into the ground. Yep, things can only get .......err sh1tter?!
You don't need to see the books to have an idea.

It doesn't have to be detailed - they just need to demonstate that they have a clue

Right now they don't

Even the Liberals have ideas and suggestions

All Ozzy does is come on television from time to time and say "what a mess - let's all blame Gordon"

What's Ozzy going to do? walk into No. 11 in the middle of a financial crisis and put up a sign

"Do not disturb for 3 months while I'm looking at the Books?"

Easy question for the Tories "The Economy - what would you do?"

Until they can answer that they can't even dream of being a government

Gromit,, London can be a fickle place, as you know, plus this was a couple of weeks ago, which as my post pointed out last month McBottle had a narrower margin.

My point, is that this useless sweaty is now being seen for what he is. Useless. (Quote from Ken on sunday)

What's the Tory plan YMB?
We have a plan but we ain't telling you lefties, you'll only nick it!

Don't write Brown off yet.

A week is a long time in politics, and there are 75 weeks to the next election.

The Enfield by-election was last Thursday. The one near to me where Labour increased its majority was a fortnight ago, not in London, but in the north of England
Time for him to go down in his bunker and take the easy way out, just like another dictator we all know.

Only touble is that when the other lot get in, they will be able to use over and over again that old time trusted excuse, 'yes but, look what a mess Labour has left us with'.

Labour is still using the same excuse blaming the Tories, even after 12 years in power, so sadly nothing will change.
I dont know why people get so emotive about politics.

is anyone really gullible enough to think that the tories will be any different?

Politicians are in it for their own sake not for the publics

If that were only true jake.
The last time Labour destroyed this country.....take a look at the interest rates...

http://www.assetsure.com/mortgage-interest-rat es.htm

luxury

have a look at inflation and interest rates in the late 80's

or unemployment in the early 80's

I remember it all very well JimmyCooper. I remember the strikes, the unemployment and the fact that my parents somehow managed to keep paying the mortgage (as the table states 18.17% in the 80s and 16.63% in the 90s and all the rates and struggles in those years).

I've got a mortgage but it's fixed for 10 yrs, so I hope that those rates aren't going to be seen by others with non fixed or tracker or any other mortgage.

Do you think it won't happen JimmyCooper?

btw, the current world collapse would have happened whichever Gov was in charge.

I'm not saying it wont happen again my point being that be it labour or Conservative they are all a load of to55ers so it aint even worth debating lol
lol :D couldn't agree with you more! I think politics is for the under 30's cos they probably still vulnerable enough to 'swallow'
