Why do they never give the obvious answer? When the Muslim guy moaned about "Islamaphobia at fever pitch" and Stoke voters electing 9 BNP candidates, why did no one give the correct answer rather than the usual walking on eggshells standard responses when Islam is involved? I was screaming at the Telly! Is Islamaphobia at "fever pitch"?

I dont know if it's at "fever pitch" but, in my own opinion, i do think far too many folk do as you say by "walking on eggshells" when it comes to anything Muslim

It's clear as day that if they are hard done by, they scream racism or islamaphobia, or whatever....

Personally, i am with the opinion that you live in the UK, you abide by UK laws and jurisdicions - there should be none of this pandering to everyone else to keep them happy mentality that Britain has.

Look at the Australians....a story i read basically told anyone coming to the country had to live by their laws or get out, simple as.

It is because so much is changing, many Brits see the government favouring the ethnic minority, dislike how things are going, therefore turn on who is being favoured, which, in turn, looks like racism and islamaphobia is reaching "fever pitch"!

It's a vicious circle which doesnt look like it'll ever end.....

*all views in my replies are my own, so, please, no one jump on my back and start throwing acusations about my opinions, as i have seen in the past*
But not everybody lives my the laws, rules and social customs of the Aborigine, do they?
Well, whatever they do down there, you dont hear much about racism / islamaphobia / etc, do you?

This country seems to pander to so many other cultures, that it's in danger of losing it's own.....and i dont think that anyone can deny that much of the hatred between races in the UK is because one feels hard done by by the other....fuelled by the government's continual bending over for other cultures / immigrants / etc

Mr BOunty can I have 5 examples of the government bending over backwards please?
MrBounty - I think that is because, as you say, 'we don't hear much about it'................

Which is an entirely different thing from it not happening !!

There is a great deal of racial tension Down-under. Although, from what I have read, their policies on immigration could do with being given a second look at by the UK governemt.
I've got no interest or time to go trawling through websites to get "proof" for anyone who is asking for it (and it was "bending over" i said, not backwards....).

If anyone thinks they government doesnt go out of their way to accommodate these people, then they dont have their blinkers on.

Ok....here you go....perfect example:
Might be a bit off, but this is how the government is shafting Brits to make the incomers happy:
Story in the paper today, mentions the afghans (i think) are about to get a version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, where they will win up to 12000 - their average annual wage is about 200.
Then the story goes on about the woman who is living with her 7 kids in a 1million mansion and getting 750K per year in benefits.
How the hell can anyone call that fair??
I got made unemployed a few years ago (was "asked to resign" my job) and was told i wouldnt get my 52 a week benefits because i resigned from my job. Luckily, after a bit of arguing from me, i got my money.
But, you get all these folks who couldnt give a toss, lap up the cash the government happily gives them, then do sod all.....and I, who want to work, have to go through a lot of sh*t to get a fraction!!

This government is so eagre to keep the minority happy, they look like they couldnt give a toss about the majority!
I think the Doctor was way off with his image of 'Islamophobia'. Stoke has been a multi-cultural city since long before the term was ever used, and there are a couple of large Islamic communities in the city, and virtually all taxi drivers are Muslims - and no-one seems to have any issues.

I think his paranoia is misplaced, his argument was badly put, and the whole question was a dud.

'Fever Pitch'? Not in Stoke, Doctor.

Mr Bounty Are you sure you was forced to resign, your name suggests me something else. Answer my two questions please.

1 We all know that Aborigine children were taken away few decades ago by White Australians in the name of civilization and recently prime minister asked for apology for that. Now being a Muslim (I will talk myself only) is my religious duty to speak against any sort of injustice I see. Had I been there at that time and spoken against it then it would have been branded as not abiding by the law of the country in force then.

Now looking at the recent apology, who was right at that time the one who opposed it or the others who kept quiet?

2 Now you are talking about Afghans. May be someone can help as to ascertain here about the number of Afghan refugees here before Allied invasion and after that. Although circumstances in Afghanistan have been bad for over three decades.

And before you or anyone jump to any conclusion, I do not like any one who is able to work and earn their living but they decide about benefits. Whoever those people are.

ok keyplus it's your religious duty to talk about any injustice, right oh, start talking, new york, madrid, bali, london. Off you go the floor's all yours.
This is bizarre. There's loads of racial tension in Australia. They were race riots between Lebanese and Aussies that made international news not long ago. It's all they talk about.
I do not need a whole floor. New York, Bali, or where ever. Injustice is injustice. Or did I say that injustice against Muslims only?
No I did not. It is very simple.
Geezer You and few others here need to learn one thing. Never judge by who is saying, always look at what he or she is saying.

Remember this advice and you will never go wrong.
Question Author
thanks for your advice, I'm still waiting for your views on the afore mentioned injustices.
Ok mr Geezer they blow up 3000 people in new york we go over and destroy the entire infrastructure if Iraq. We blow thousands of innocent civilians in the name of 'justice' and those that survive the blasts are expected to realise that its in the name of a better life.
then they come over here seeking refuge from our own armies! and you wonder why!

3 points really
Have you ever heard the phrase violence begets violence?

2nd if you Were in their position would you do any different?
if you had children and were scared that their limbs were to be blown off would you not seek a better life for them?

3rd NO ONE has ever come up with a solution to this:
Britain is in an age CRISIS! we have more pensioners than teenagers and unless something drastic changes we NEED immigrants in this country. Simple as. Britain will collapse with out them. So I welcome immigrants with big families and hope that they keep coming!
Question Author
Sherman, which problem would you like to talk about? I don't see the ageing population/immigration argument is directly connected to the "allah is great, let's slay the infidel argument". They sowed the wind with their attacks on the west for no other reason that they didn't like our way of life. They then reaped the whirlwind to which you refer. What should the response of the west have been after the afore mentioned acts of terrorism? Invite them over for a prayer meeting? Islam is about imposing it's disgusting principles on normal people. The west aint wearing it.
Question Author
Raggy the real answer is that muslims need to distanmce themselves from the nutters, they won't because they agree with the nutters, simple. Look at Keyplus above, get him to condem the attacks! Not sure if sherman is a muslim or just a hand wringing lefty islam apologist at the moment, further samples will diagnose in due course.
Didnt I say never worry about who is saying, just think about what he or she is saying.

Sherman has said what you wanted to listen from me. But I am sure you would not understand, because as Sherman said, you are not in their shoes otherwise I am 100% you would be doing exactly the same thing.

I have always condemn terrorism. Its only Western people who want to condemn, 9/11, 7/7 and so on, but do not want to talk about 24/7 that is going on in few countries, just imagine few people cant even sleep because Drones are flying all the time above their roofs, and who is going to be the target.well no one knows, because even the ones targeting they themselves do not know.
Geezer - Now you have asked a bit too many questions and I am sure even after all these answers tomorrow (or may be just now) you still are going to say, Oh you see Muslims do not condemn terrorism.

Now you tell me.

Do you condemn all the Innocent people being killed in Iraq, In Afghanistan, in Palestine, in Pakistan, in Kashmir?

Or is it that I am asking for a bit too much because in your eyes they are just not human?
