I always thought that it was illegal to break the run up or pi55 around in any way whilst taking a penalty. Why do Ronaldo and others seem to get away with it? Has the law of the game been changed? any ideas?

On the upside, it was hilarious when Ronaldo missed after kissing the ball and ******* about. That and Drogba slapping Vidic make the loss slightly easier to swallow.
John Terry falling over was the highlight of the evening.

That an the fact that Chelsea again failed to be a big club
Yes I thought that too. perhaps Man. U. players are exempt.
was john terry wearing slippers lol?made my week that did lol..........................
There is not and has never been a rule that you can't stop mid way through a run up. There is stuff about unsporting behavior and getting an unfair advantage, but nothing explicitly about stopping a run up.
john terry brand vodka - bottled in moscow
The laws of football does not apply to any games involving Man United. Come on, you must know that!

Though Im not a Chelsea supporter, it was lovely to see that goofy sweaty portuguese nobjockey miss that penalty. What a tool!
I usually struggle to watch a full 90 minutes of football, but that game last night kept me glued to the seat for the full 2 and a bit hours. There was some fantastic football put together from both sides.
There is nothing in the rules about pausing before kicking the ball.

Here are the rules for all the Chelsea fans who do not know them

Drogba is a very good player, shame he is such an ar$e and effectively handed the game to United.

yeah ronaldos penalty was disgrace....

perhaps the ref should have made him retake it!

cork it chelski fans....

[tekken voice]---- you lose!
It was an excellent match but I hate penalties as exciting as they are. I spent it watching through gaps in my fingers. Then me and my mates spent the night discussing alternatives to penalties. Shots on goal stats became the choice of the evening.

It was much better 15 years ago when I just expected Chelsea to lose everything.
maybe TERRY should get back down to , the WARDOUR TABLR DAN CING club ,....and get some of the girls , to work , on k=his footwork .... ----- as for the "********* about 2 , when tsaking penalties , like RONALDO does ....... doesnt referees eneterpretation of the situation, s come into it ,,,,,, or more like the referee cant be asked to make RONALDO take it agian,,, maybe if he had scored from it the ref , may have considered making Ronaldo ,,,,re take it . ????
