Can't be bothered with people who protest against religions. Not only are they protesting about the right to live your life as you wish, they're wasting their time.

Question Author
Of course a name with satan&co's opinions on such things...
The link states ;They said they were campaigning against "toxic ideals" and a "corrupt leadership", not the beliefs of members.

So, why not protest against a religion that has weight, say the Catholics or Baptist Fundamentalists, or the Muslims?

I'd agree with satan&Co on this, with one exception - it's the protestor's right to protest, and it's only their own time they're wasting.

(oh, and Andric, just a word - no point in asking for views if you're going to make fun of those who offer the opinion you asked for)

Yeh I know, Sorry man.

But peolple have died from this group. Scientology.
people have died in the name of every religion under the sun haven't they? what is so different about this one?
Good grief - they'll be protesting about the Mason's next!
I have to admit, I came across anonymous a couple of months ago and rather liked their campaign against the brainwashing, money grabbing Scientology cult.

I don't agree with all their methods, including the cyber attacks on Scientology websites, and black faxing (although admittedly black faxing is funny). However, it's their right to protest, and I think that it's worth while highlighting a rather dangerous organisation that preys on the weak and vulnerable.

Tetjam - I'd listen to your opinion if you could explain why you feel that way - but I won't debate with expletives.

Some other religions where believers have died because of their faith:
Jehovah's Witnesses

Catholicism

Protestantism

Judaism

Islam

Hindu

The list is endless.

Therefore, I still ask - why target the scientoligists rather than any other religious group?
Question Author
Thats the very question that needs to be adressed.

And part of the answer is that they havent died through violence, or even attack.

((Related rant but wanderes off a bit))

They have died from maltreatment and lack of care. and people like lisa mcpherson (Wikipedia for an unbiased view.)

Where after four autopsies the church being blamed for the death paid another. Who said she died of natural causes.

Look for operation snow white, the infiltration of the IRS where the wife of L. Ron hubbard pleaded guilty among others.

After being discovered the FBI discovered Files for 'operation freakout' Inside a scientology building Which depicted plans to silence a known critic of the church.

Also look for their 'fair game policy' Which is a main reason for protests against their actions.

And now they are granted TAX benefits, above all other religions.
