I just noticed from the BBC that the government's Culture, Media and Sport committee has just reported ... ...

"In our opinion, the history of the aquatics centre shows a risible approach to cost control and that the Games organisers seem to be willing (to) spend money like water."

Nice one.

If you watched the Lord Mayor Question Time special last week, you'll have heard Ken Livingston apparently openly admit, that his estimated costing for the Olympics was completely and deliberately underestimated, in order to secure government investment in the East End of London.
If this is the case, (and that's what it sounded like to me)then surley he should be open to investigation for a fraudulent act.
I once witnessed a local councillor say in front of the full council...

"I've got nothing against homosexuality, but I don't want it rammed down my throat"
surely nobody in their right mind believed the figures for the costs of the olympic games that were originally quoted ?!

if the true expected costs were given people would have been even more anti games than they now are.

Q :when has a government project ever come in remotely near budget ? answer: never.

As usual its lies , lies and more lies, no suprise there then !
Down with sport and fun!

Nice one too, Gromit.

I guess my all-time favourite is from David Coleman when he explained (at some length) Asa Hartford's medical problem ... .... then described him as a "whole-hearted" player.

A quote is exactly that. Just a quote. It was never evver going to be right.
LOL Gromit.
