Yes, It's well on the way already. We are wall to wall White South Africans here, bailing out!
I think so too.
wall to wall white South Africans? Goodness, I'm not. Anyway, no, Zuma is nothing like Mugabe and South Africa is nothing much like Zimbabwe either: a country with a strong growth rate and great mineral riches. The challenge for the next president (and Mbeki remains in power for quite a while yet, Zuma has only won the party leadership) is to share it out more equitably. The country is doing well but - as in Britain - it's mostly going to entrepreneurs and those who are already wealthy.
If I was a white South African I would be booking my ticket back to the UK from where I emigrated all those years ago and taking my cash with me. That is if Britain would accept me. If I had changed my nationality to S.A. would that debar me from entering the UK knowing the now strict immigration controls from outside the EU?

Could someone enlighten me as to why black South Africans are voting for him? When challenged with the fact that he slept with a young HIV-positive girl he replied that he had had a shower afterwards. He is deceiving millions of South Africans in an AIDS-ravaged nation into believing that 5 minutes with a bubbly lather protects you from AIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ......my vision has gone all red.
I reckon it'll be Idi Amin the second.
it seems to have worked, though, Pufflette, apparently he doesn't have Aids.
I think white South Africans are originally from Holland?
South African politicians are a disgrace. In recent memory:

- The Deputy PM has punched a member of the public in the face.
- The Opposition has seen two former party chairman go to prison for perjury. One of whom had already faked his university qualifications and bribed a prositute.
- A senior MP from another party was recently exposed as a philandering bisexual who had spent his expenses on a rent boy for several years.
- During the last administration, an MP was found dead wearing women's underwear and with an orange stuffed in his mouth after a sex act had gone wrong.

S. African politicians. They're animals.
Sorry, I'm thinking of Britain.
you shouldn't think of countries like that, Quinlad, they are not good advertisements for democracy.

Booldawg, white South Africans may be Afrikaners of Dutch descent but there are also many of British descent. I do sympathise with the hard times they're going through, no longer being able to rely on anything like slave labour to get rich on, but I think they may be disappointed if they rush back to Britain in search of good times.
Totally agree JNO - the bar staff work has gone to the Aussies and Lidls checkout operators to the Polish. Maybe they can scam cashpoint cards with the other Eastern Europeans?
