Just heard on news 4 year old boy been stabbed in liverpool and sister seriously ill. What on earth is the world coming to.?

Not the world, Britain. Now its punish the victims, and reward the criminals. Remember how they treated the the murderers of the little Bowger boy, they got the lightest of sentences. They should have been executed for what they did to him. I don't accept that they were children, they knew what they were doing, AND enjoyed it.

Well if does turn out to be the father, that would fit statistically wouldn't it. Your are more likely to be harmed by someone known to you than a total stranger.
In the Guardian (if true), the man went into the local pub had a drink and confessed to what he had done!
No update on the condition of the girl as yet. Fingers crossed and all that. Its impossible to imagine what the mother is experiencing, the loss of one child and the possibility of a second.

The children have been named now.They are Ryan Hawkins and Donna Hawkins,their father Chris Hawkins has been arrested along with another man as yet un-named.

That is beyond belief. It makes me feel sick. I strongly believe that child murderers should be given the death penalty. What chance did that 4 year old have against a grown man. Poor wee soul, i just pray that the sister pulls through,but she'll never be the same again. Why doesn't our bl**dy government stand up and take notice ?

Oh and Lousia - I imagine most of the MP' s would have picked this up on the news, what action has the government failed to do?

Perhaps if AOG's scenario is correct there is a very valid reason for limited access, like the father is a violent ba$tard capable of stabbing his 4 year old son to death.
Sometimes the courts do get it right, sometimes they get it wrong, but restricted access is no excuse for violence in any form and should never be offered as such an excuse either.

I just don't get it. How could anyone justify the actions by using the limited access card? Usual scenario my arse, the man was nuts, break ups majoratively happen murder free and what was another man doing there? 2 men plan to kill one man's children? No matter who's child was in the room I would put myself between them and a knife, I would die to protect any child.

Why do you find it necessary to swear all the time Goodsoulette, (perhaps you should consider changing your name, I dont consider you a good soul at all) I was only putting forward a senario,based on the report I read in the newspaper. I neither said this was the true case or that I condoned the terrible actions it in any way.
