Whose idea was it at BBC News, to send the beautiful Natasha Kapinski to report on bird flu from some rural backwater.
The poor girl must have been mortified standing amongst all those dead birds and having to interview all those strange looking locals.
She should have been in London presenting the news with her authoritative style and sophistication.
In future, why not send a junior reporter to cover these provincial news items.

I'm sure she was suitably payed for her services.

Ps, Shes not royalty you know, she is allowed to do the so called ''junior work''

What makes you think she would be mortified?
Poor thing, if only she was on, oh i don't know. 175,000 a year salary to get over her trauma!
..would prefer to see her reporting poolside, suitably attired.
I'd prefer her to stick to grinning and reporting on lifes trival things - stick to what your good at I say
I would prefer not to see her presenting outside the studio, she's a newsreader not a reporter but I'm sure the junior they sent with her did a terrific job writing the report
Hmmm, i heard it was the producers that sent her. Apparenty last time Jeremy Thompson reported on the mad cow disease, and it was her turn. The producers said jeremy would be more suited for the cows and Kay for the turkeys. they did a little photo fit thing of them, it was quite funny...
