I couldn`t believe what I saw on TV yesterday, is there one rule for Asian terrorists and another for Irish terrorists?
Just a few things that I want to say!
Was this a set-up?
Where were the Police? such an important place!.. there was even a police presence at our local fireworks display a few weeks ago!
If this was an Asian terrorist he would have had his head shot off!
Also why isn`t he on a plane to Guantanamo Bay?
My bet is that this will now be kept quiet for a while and he`ll be released again.
I know my answers are full of why`s but why is our Government so tolerant with Irish terrorists and yet so fearful of anything Asian? correct me if i`m wrong but haven`t the IRA killed more British people than Asian terrorist have?

He was in court this morning, charged wi attempted murder.
Ah here we go again. Why cant the Irish people in Ireland and UK tell the police if their sons or daughters are engaged in dodgy business.

Oh dear Bustergutt what a Gut Reaction (pardon the pun)
Surely you mean Muslim Terroists? (You are obviously fearful of using the word Muslim for some unknown reason).

And when has a Asian/Muslim terrorist, ever had his head shot off. If you mean the person who was shot on London's Underground, he was neither a terrorist or an Asian he was a Brazilian, in the wrong place at the wrong time.

How many Asian terroists have been sent to Guantanamo Bay, by the British?

Why is our Goverment so fearful of anything Asian you asked (once again it should read Muslim) . Could it be because of New York's 9/11 attacks, the London Bombings and all those other likely attacks that have been discovered and action taken before they could be put into practice?

Sorry to bring Asians/Muslims into this debate, but it was you that deemed it necessary for some reason.
Michael Stone is nothing more nor nothing less than a psychopathic, tragic, attention seeker who has always felt the need to be in the spotlight. He is known in some circles as "own goal" having done more harm to his own cause than good ever since he got his tiny head involved in the politics of Ireland. He's been a dead man walking for years, now it looks like we just have the satisfaction of thnking every now and again of him rotting away quietly in prison for the rest of his life whilst the rest of us get on and try to build a peace in a country that he harbours no love for if the truth be known. If he did, he'd have taken advantage of the second chance he was offered and worked towards doing something positive instead of some futile violent "look at me, look a me" gesture.
I don't think you can blame Tony bBair for releasing Stone. A level playing field was needed and the release package was very instrumental to getting the peace process on the right road. You'll just always have people who don't know which side their bread is buttered ( and I was at Milltown that day so I harbour no sympathy whatsoever for him), he can rot in hell for all I care. Let's just get on a get Stormont working as it should.
The ordinary people of Northern Ireland do not need Stormont. Both on a personal and a business level they are perfectly well integrated into the UK without it. What few decisions need to be taken can be perfectly well taken by local councils without Stormont. The only people who want Stormont are those greedy useless, and, yes murdering wretches whose grossly inflated tax-payer paid salaries will stop if Stormont does not go ahead. If Michael Stone had succeeded in eliminating these ghastly wretches who wish to continue to inhabit that place purely to leech vast sums of our money and return to us worse than nothing would it have been so wrong?
Glad you are the representative of us all mustafa. There was me, for years thinking that I didn't want to be governed from London, when all the time I clearly did! Thank you for showing me the light and the error of my ways!
Some representative view you are, if you think Michael Stone is a hero. He is a murdering, ghastly wretch in case it had escaped your attention, or are you selective in your choice of adjectives depending on the killer's political persuasions?
I regard Mr Stone as a very nasty piece of work indeed. Yet given that (a) the people of NI are perfectly well integrated without Stormont and (b) the wretched creeps who will comprise Stormont, would it have been so sad if he had achieved his objective? Do you mean that for years you were active against us in your desire not to be ruled by London? And your view on Gerry Adams and Martin McGuiness is?
My politics are staunchly Republican, that's never been a secret and I will own who I am and anything I have done, said or thought at any point in my life.I view the peace process as the only way forward to prevent a return to the havoc and bloodshed that I experienced for the first 35 years of my life. Those who don't support what is in effect a compromise that makes no single group in the north happy, are those that are supporters of dissidents on both sides of the worse possible kind. Our own personal wishes cannot, and must not, figure in this, otherwise I'd be jumping up and down still yelling for a united Ireland. This compromise doesn't thrill me any more than it does you,and we're clearly on opposite sides with regards to politics, but screw what I'd personally like, and screw what you'd personally like, that doesn't matter. What matters is that these men you so despise are trying to strike a compromise whereby people don't have to live in fear of who and what they are in relation to other groups within their locality. What's the option Mustafa,go back to the way it was when I was a kid?Remember the 70's and 80's?Idon't bloody think so. I do not want that for my children, why do you want it for yours? Republicanism is not going away, neither is Loyalism, so we just have to get along whether you or I like it or not and Stormont is the best way forward. With regards to Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness, they are trying to move the peace process forward. It takes people from deep within the Republican community to get people at grass roots level to listen. They have to be people that the community trusts or the whole thing falls apart. You may not like them, but in this instance they are the men for the job. It wasn't the IRA that tried to bomb the Assembly you'll notice, it was the UDA with their total lack of discipline and reason. We have a chance here, I know most Loyalists resent it, but it really has to be taken and made to work as the other options are
Got to say that i'm with Nox on this one, loathsome as i find Adams and McGuiness they have at least been trying to tow the line towards peace for the last few years. Stone seems to be trying to gain publicity for himself or his latest cause by reverting 20 years. I'm sorry but that kind of thing is primitive and futile and with the current climate and view of terrorism, he has regressed his cause considerably. I have seen a few interviews with Stone over the years and he seemed to be full of regret and remorse for his and his causes actions. Talk is obviously cheap in Ulster.
I'm not aware that anyone, including Mr Stone, has claimed that he was acting for the UDA. It was a purely individual action by him.
Nice to see you addressed the points put to you Mustafa.
Alright, I'll grant it wasn't, or may not have been, UDA sanctioned, but they're usually too busy arguing amongst themselves for the left hand to know what the right is doing anyway, but in any event, he's one of theirs so they should have kept him under better control, do you not think?
So what do you personally prefer Mustafa, Stormont or Dublin having a say, because that is your choice?
its funny that mr paisley is not out roaring about terrorists attacking parliment think if it was ex ira man who done this he would be never off the telly guess its one of his own type and not a ira terrorist
Noxlumos has very deliberately told one untruth in his posting above with intent to mislead and deceive. It totally invalidates everything that he has said in the past and might say in the future.
anotheoldgit.......I've read your "question" several times and still can't quite make up my mind exactly what it is you are asking.
However I'll throw my tuppence in and state that no matter the reasons for his release he must surely have blown his parole and must now be returned to prison to serve at the very least the minimum 30 years he was sentenced to.
And probably a lot more to be added on for his latest attempt.
Pardon me? I have told no untruth in my above post or at any other time.Perhaps you'd like to point out what you think that is & we can thrash it out now, otherwise shut your mouth son.Let's have a run down of the loyalist main players past and present shall we so everyone knows exactly what we're talking about since they so rarely make the mainland papers but have been so instrumental in the sorrows of the north.Johnny Adair,National Front skinhead drug importer, kneecaps his own kids and was expelled from the UDA bc even they didn't want him.John white psycho responsible for the axeing to death of Paddy Wilson MP,he was hacked apart & they also murdered his Protestant Assistant Irene Andrews and cut off her breasts during her murder because she had the gall to work for a Catholic.Again hiding in Scotland as far as I know.
James "Doris Day" Gray, (dead) paedophile who flew out of Thailand as his son lay dying there of a drugs overdose, to cover his own back. Who leaves their own child dying can I ask you?

The Loyalist paramilitaries have recently lost up to 20 million worth of drugs and are now robbing banks all over the UK to try and claw some back.

The only way we can make these types a thing of the past is if we all work together to make Stormont work, although some may say that Loyalists and Republicans have been working together for years, since the Loyalists import the drugs into Ireland and the IRA shoot the dealers.
I'd like your thoughts on the above Mustafa, as you seem to think that Northern Ireland is so Elysian as it is. Doesn't sound like happy "integrated into the UK " people to me.
I'd like all this to end and for us
I should, in fairness to the Loyalist community, point out that the second link above is several years old, however there is no indication that the loyalist paramilitary organisations have stopped trafficking drugs on a huge scale both in Ireland and on the mainland. If you google UDA, UVF, LVF etc you'll get all the info you could ever want from reliable primary sources, just so Mustafa can't accuse me of "misleading" people.
All the blather in the world, noxlumos, will not disguise the fact that you deliberately told one untruth in your posting above with the intent to mislead and deceive. All of Answerbank can see that. And this makes all of your postings whether past, present and future and on any matter just silly twaddle. I'm sure that we can peacefully agree that.
So, indulge my stupid Catholic ignorance will you Mustafa and tell me exactly what that deception is supposed to be? Otherwise as I said you might be best off shutting your hole before you make yourself look any more stupid than you already have. As I can't see ANY untruth above whatsoever I'd like you to repeat it for my own benefit and that of "all the other answerbankers" who apparently can clearly see it. Alternatively if anyone else would like to point me in the right direction I'd be much obliged.
Oh, dear. Now a threat of physical violence. What next?
