Given that this Government has a relentless attitude to tax, and environmental things, how long before they start to tax people with coal fires, and old fashioned (rather than condensing combi ) boilers?

Over here in France they're encouraging people to use 'replaceable' energy, so wood, being replaceable by planting, is encouraged. Instead of burning coal people could burn wood. However, the old boilers will eventually wear themselves out and it has to be said that old boilers are much more expensive to run so you do eventually save money on these.
And they should charge such people more to park their cars, as well.

I can be smug here, as we have the very latest, energy saving, condensing boiler. I claim my free car parking.
