You stood there and said to the nation that you and your government did not know anything about rendition flights transporting muslim people to and from the CIA. You are a liar and it will be proven today at Brussels. Is there no one who feels aggrieved at this?

Like 'The Sun', the general populace now expect the government to lie until caught out. I think Labour will get a very large shock at the next election.

Because of Blair we have become very entwined with The USA much more so than a special relationship. The Conservatives may have turned a blind eye also.

what the general populace expect 'The Sun' to lie until caught out? ;-)

Seriously though, did anyone actually believe that the US weren't using the UK for their rendition flights?

Artemis - it reminds me of Spitting Image song a few years back about the UK of A and being the 51st state of America.

Just to bear out the remarks about the US/UK relationship, in the Commons today Governor Blair paid tribute to the 'Lootenant' who had been killed in Iraq.
I think the CIA should keep up the good work...

The people transported by the CIA are the most hardened and committed terrorists and they should never be allowed back into circulation to spread death and destruction. And if it means that a very few innocent people suffer, then that's the unfortunate price to be paid.

A good interrogator will almost always distinguish the innocent from the guilty.
