Now that wasn't difficult was it?  With a bit of practice they might get the hang of it.

A (small) step in the right direction.

Let's hear it for Les Flics;

But, looking a naomi's link, out of the thousands upon thousands of young men who predominate these illegal migrants, the Beeb has to focus on a crying young girl who happens to be in this one.

But it should not be left to the French to protect our borders.

Agreed, they should not let them put to sea in totally unsuitable craft. But whether they do or not is their business.

Our business is to prevent them traversing UK waters and landing. And the only way to stop that is to physically turn them about when they reach mid-point.

We were foolish to ever become involved with the French in this issue, let along pay them vast sums of money. They have no interest in preventing the crossings - quite the contrary, they are glad to see the back of them and they are never going to try too hard however much they are paid.

The rubber boats need to be turned around mid-Channel and if they get into difficulties they can contact the French Coastguard.

It is the only way to stop this scandal.

"...the Beeb has to focus on a crying young girl who happens to be in this one."

Of course they do. Because the BBC deems it perfecly acceptable for UK axpayers' money to be used o provide free board and lodging, healthcare and pocket money for people with no right to be here. They think i is quite justified to use ever-increasing sums of taxpayers's money to do this, even when many of the people who pay those taxes struggle to pay for accommodation of their own.

We elect governments to deal with this issue, not the BBC, and successive governments have failed spectacularly to deal with it because they will not do the only thing that will stop it.

The BBC is reporting arrival of a record number of lone children on small boats

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckg568zg1nxo

which of course will be the case if the authorities continue to classify individuals with noticeable grey hair and sunnah-compliant beards as "children".........

The BBC article says ' Contains upsetting scenes' didnt upset me one jot

The BBC the bastions of impartiality.

Just sitting with a cup of Green China tea reading my newly arrived hard-copy of the near week old Spectator. I notice that Emmanuel Macron & Brigitte are coming to London later this month for a UK-French summit, & the cynic in me wonders if this Flic beach caper hasn't come about from orders high-up to show how they are working on our behalf & of course 'please keep sending us those millions of pounds '.

Just sayin'. 🙂

Khandro we have stupid politicians that believe we are as equally stupid as them.

I am grateful that the firesides have taken astion but why have we not got agents crawling all over northern France killing the smugglers, slashing boats, etc and generally stopping this?

These comments are the way to keep the French on side.

I know- you can't help yourselves.

freeeedddooommm dougie!

Instead of paying France as we are we should pay them by the boats they slash.

Stuff the French - as NJ says it won't stop unti WE stop them.

Drones & SAS on French beaches, navy turning back dinghies in the channel. END OF!

The dosh Macron trousers from the Brits he calls, "Argent pour vieille corde"

Roughly translated:  Money for old rope.  😄

The French are never onside, they're just on their own side.

We need to ship all we find back. With gunboat protection if necessary. No point in allowing the French to object. They are their migrants, we didn't join any insane Schengen agreement.

Perhaps we can make a deal after all. For each migrant they fail to stop risking their life crossing the Channel in an unseaworthy vessel, we return a vesselful of French illegals back to France for them to deal with.

I have questioned on two or three posts, why don't they target the manufacturers and suppliers of these 'small boats'?

O_G 21.10 (?)  Of course rhe French are for the French.  I've lived there.  They are great people to live with - BUT France is for the French.  They expect you to become French-thinking.

T.b.h. We could do with a lot of Brits saying that they expected immigrants to be  British-thinking.
