... have arrived on our shores in the last two days ably assisted by the Border Force and the RNLI  ... but the good news is 36 were returned to France after their boat get into trouble.

Anyway, bit windy today so that should cut the numbers down a bit and give Manston a chance to clear the backlog.

Why didn't the government simply draw resources from the already won 'war on drugs' using the expertise gained in that operation to 'smash the gangs'?

Seems like an awful waste of a world-class talent pool now sitting idle or doing the admin.
