Yes, we should all be given the choice of dying or living a life full of pain and suffering.

TTT - I did search News but 'get your marching boots on' didn't ring any bells sorry

Yes, absolutely

TTT sulking because no-one noticed his thread which had a misleading title, something he's been warned about.

Yes, cut through the BS and allow a person to control their own life.

15:41 yeah because we get so many posts in news now, just look at the top love!

15:45 but this is anything but that.

15:45 if they want to die, jump off of something, they just want to make a fuss about it and get others involved.

Why don't you just do what's been asked of you and start threads with a relevant title?

It will be less traumatic for all concerned than me committing a lonely suicide.

I agree, your body, your life!

Bearing in mind that you have to be declared of sound mind to sign away your life, if you suspect you're being coerced there is nothing to stop you changing your will to leave all your savings to whoever you wish.

TTT, 15.47.  That has to be one of the most ignorant comments I've ever read on AB.

^^ amen to that!

TTT is obviously dead against this but being stupid just to try to shock is beyond the pale.

Yes

yes absolutely

Your life, your choice. Logic.

I fully support the passing of this Bill. Every person should have the right to choose a dignified and peaceful end to their life.

That said, it is of course essential that stringent safeguards are in place to prevent any possibility of coercion or undue influence being brought to bear.

I agree to in the limited scope of the bill - terminally ill with less than six months to live, of sound mind.

TTT, jumping off a roof is making a big fuss and drags a lot of people in to it.  Trauma for the witnesses and the emergency services that have to clear it up.  Confusion and grief for the loved ones left behind, without the chance to say goodbye.  A lengthy inquest that still won't answer - why?

Plus the risk that the suicide attempt is not successful and a person is left with dreadful injuries.

I don't know if you're just crass or trying to get a reaction.
