That's what I reckon as well, dave.
This will become increasingly likely when (inevitably) taxes have to rise sharply to accommodate this largesse (among much else).
This is not a party issue. Successive governments have stood idly by, wringing their hands (whilst sitting on them at the same time, if that's possible). There is every likelihood that the levels being seen now would be the same if the Tories had won the GE.
I don't believe the Rwanda Plan would have made any significant difference. Once it had reached its capacity (which it would have done very quickly) any deterrent value it might have had would be lost.
The problems that this lack of action is creating are enormous. If simply seeking more and more places to accommodate these illegal entrants is the only thing the government can come up with, I think we are in for a very bumpy ride.
My neighbours son is considering going to either Austrailia or New Zealand. He is an Engineer and she is a Doctor. Apparentley both these jobs are being sought in those countries. They want to go before starting a family and eventually have his mum go over to live (both her parents are deceased). Good Luck to them - if I was in their position I would be thinking along the same lines.
Ynna - they don't want to come to Wales either. Even though the Welsh Assembly are doing their best to encourage them. Here in West Wales I have only seen immigrates that work at the hospital etc. The ones that are in Wales seem to gravitate to the big cities such as Cardiff etc just as they do in England to London. Why? I suppose because there is nothing for them in small towns or rural areas.

That doesn’t matter, Massey. Apparently the majority of those arriving in small boats are engineers and doctors (as well as being women and children).
Your neighbour’s son leaving will contribute to the deceit that is called “net migration” (which is in fact an exchange of acual doctors and engineers for people who say they are).

I would argue that the breaking point has already been reached ynnafy. As well as that, bear in mind that illegal migration is only a small percentage of overall migration. Last year “only” 948,000 people arrived to settle here.
I say “only” because the year before it was 1,326,000. Just for comparison, 1.32m is greater than the combined population of Glasgow and Edinburgh. It is also greater than the combined total of the next 20 most populous towns and cities in Scotland (a list which begins with your own Aberdeen and Dundee and ends with Airdrie and Falkirk).

But the beauty is they can melt away into the night and scrape a living washing cars or delivering unsuitable food to people too lazy to cater for themselves.
Pity the French police don't buy a few boats of their own and go sink those craft being used illegally to taxi illegals across.
As for legal migration, it's high time the government of the day extracted it's digit and ensured compnies here restricted offers to foreigners, and were obliged to make proper attempts to employ UK natives. Hand in hand, of course, with sufficient disincentives to natives to refuse work offers. The government is only to happy to squeeze blood out of a stone using various taxes on normal citizens, about time they gave us some relief from their extortion.
Leave the gun toting foreigners in the nations foolish enough to allow them free movement; keep them well away from Blighty.
Seeing as we are incapable of stopping their constant arrival the only solution lies with how we treat them when they get here. I suggest they are taken to large camps, where they are told they will be fed and clothed, nothing more. No money, no mobile phones, no perks. Their only option will be to return where they came from or permanent internment. Once that message goes world wide they will think twice about coming here.

I have said all the above so many times I am expecting a visit from Kneelers Stasi (To hunt my Brexity books).
It will kick off, as I have said many times but the left on here just cant see it the UK (and other countries) are becoming a tinderbox. Hopefully any action will be limited civil unrest rather than what I think may happen which is civil war. Either way we may soon find out how good the Metro 'elites' are at fighting for what they see as their country.
