//Rachel Reeves has taken a massive gamble - on the economy, on Labour’s political fortunes and on her own future as Chancellor. Her gargantuan spending spree in this week’s eagerly-awaited Spending Review set the clock ticking on all three.

But time is not on her side. The economy is in retreat again, her party is plunging in the polls and the vultures are circling to oust her from No 11.//

Will she stay or will she go - and should she stay or should she go?

She should go, been an absolute disaster, worst chancellor in history.

If Tool has any sense he should get shot of Lammy and pound shop barbie too.

Liebour should have a complete resuffle.

Almost without fail, those complaining (on AB) of the state of the UK economy are those supporting Brexit that is costing the UK exchequer £40 billion per annum – go figure.

change the record hymie.

I think this government is the quickest to become a lame duck in history. Whoever Labour might pick to replace the present lot will probably just continue the ruination, but if changes are made Starmer needs to go first.

For goodness sake give over shoe-horning Brexit into practically everthing you post, hymie.  This isn't about Brexit.

12:58 you are a mod, weed it out.

Question Author

TTT, if mods weeded out everything that people object to, much of yours would go and you wouldn't like it one bit.  You moan enough now!

if Reeves does go, we should perhaps be a little worried about who might replace her. who on the red side of the house has a head for finance? or maths?

13:03 you said it yourself it's alien to the subject we are discussing. I'd have thought that was sufficient grounds.

I doubt any of them have, mushroom.  None of them seem to be competent at their job.  I think we just have to accept that were in for four more years of disaster.

Why complain about the UK economy, when you are supporting Brexit that is trashing the UK economy?

naomi: "I think we just have to accept that were in for four more years of disaster." - you're right there, there is no way to get them out unless they go devine wind! What will be left in 4 years. If nothing else we have at least been reminded why real Labour were last elected over half a century ago.

Question Author

Hymie, this is about Reeves trashng the economy.  Don't push it.

There is something about Reeves voice that has a bit of Janet Street Porter about it!

Hymie, As we are constantly reminded by a couple of posters when discussing the present government 'You lost get over it'.  May I suggest you do the same re: Brexit.

hymie, black holes can't you see them, everywhere doom
brexit what a distaster...who needs sovereignty when you can be ruled over by th unelected...i think of sheep

I've got a head for maths, 5 + 4 = 7.  + 3 = 9. Do I get the job? 😄

Sorry,10CS,Diane Abbott got in before you.😖
