As a past donor myself, but now too old to continue, may I appeal to all you kind folks to consider donating if you don't already. I've given some 100 donations in the past, and been more than happy to do so. Virtually painless and as a reward you get free biscuits and a cuppa'.

Please give it a go (even if only once, which will at least give you your blood group😊).

the biggest enemy to giving blood is the outfit that runs it. The whole thing is staffed by bossy rude idiots who just want to use the little bit of power they've been given.

I'm afraid I am too much trouble to give blood.  The only time I tried, I passed out and required medical attention myself.

I'm A- too, Smow.  I was a regular donor until recently

They used to park their van outside one of the places I worked in the 80s/90s. We used to call in and give a pint on the way to going and having a pint. No appt needed just register the first time, in and out in a few minutes. I was always known as an "easy bleeder"!

me too A- 😀

(people sometimes say I'm a bit negative🙄)

There is a "Tales of the Unexpected" where the only available blood donor for an injured patient is the chap he's just killed!

13:26 so why don't they put their house in order? They must know it's their stupidity that's driven donors away.

I've given 90 times.  It would be well over 100 by now if I hadn't fallen out with them so didn't go for 9 years.  All I had wanted to do was put my bag on the bed by my side but no, it had to be on a chair where I couldn't see it and anyone could have stolen it.  Dictators!

"They must know it's their stupidity that's driven donors away."

So often the stupid are the last to realise their stupidity.
