The best way  to reset relationships between EU and UK would be for Sir Keir Starmer to publicly acknowledge that Brexit was a disaster at every level and announce his intention to stage a second Referendum on the issue. The appropiate date for the new poll would be june 23rd 2026.And the indications are that a significant majority of UK citizens would be in favour of rejoining the EU...Go for it Sir Keir that's why The Majority of Brits made you Prime Minister

Has he announced it - and if not where has this come from?

How is this "News"?

Question Author

NJ 15.14 "How is this News".  Good news or Bad news NJ ???

Well,we will see then if the SNP numpties who voted for Brxit will still be voting for Brexit gulliver.

Not sure if this is in the correct section, but it's Gully's opinion and he's entitled to it.  You don't have to agree with it of course.

Opinion surveys suggest that almost twice a many  people now believe that the wrong decision was taken in 2016 as those who remain satisfied With Brexit.

How can it be a "Brexit" referendum, when we are already out? You'll have to invent another silly word.

So this is about a poll and a second referendum hasn't been announced.

In your dreams gulliver.

The UK do not have the required percentage of folk gullible enough to think that returning to the external overlords is in any way beneficial to the nation that there'd be the majority in favour. And nation whose majority of citizens were that naive would already be doomed.

Sooner or later citizens of present EU member nations must realise this, those contributing most resource to the dominating power group probably doing so first, and at that point the EU will collapse.  Those eith pisitions at the top of the EU having already taken wealth beyond their wildest dreams from those nations foolish enough to have been suckered in.

"Good news or Bad news NJ ???"

Neither. How is it "news" of any sort? There have been no proposals by anybody (other than you) for the UK to rejoin the EU.

And whilst you seem to have responded to a question for once:

"Go for it Sir Keir that's why The Majority of Brits made you Prime Minister."

Only 59.8% of those eligible to vote did so and only 33.7% of them voted Labour. So Labour received the votes of a little over 20% of the electorate.

So how does that translate to "The Majority of Brits made you Prime Minister." Not even the majority of those who voted made Starmer the PM, let alone the majority of Brits.

Things are only getting Better, Better Better. As Ursula Von der Leyen says Keir Starmer is going down well in the EU .Compared to what one leading EU Politician has described the "Ice Age "of relations under Boris Johnson. Starmers Language is much more warmer and welcome across the channel..Wow .Go for it ,,Sir Keir.

No its not

Of course he's going down well in Europe.  He's a nodding dog.  😂

Gulliver. //Go for it Sir Keir that's why The Majority of Brits made you Prime Minister//

So you are good at maths when you consider 20% to be a majority.

Question Author
