Even blunt tipped knives can be fatal if driven in with enough force.

Then again so can rolling pins.

Does anything pointy include some peoples heads?

DDIL has it in one. Evil folk won't stop doing what they do because a knife has a blunt tip.

We're going to have to use screwdrivers for killing people then. I might use my battery-powered drill or chainsaw instead.

pointless🤣

10:00 indeed actually they are also pointy in one dimension, look at them side on.

It's the old story weapons are tools, ok ban the obvious ones but the real issue is the people that weild them. Every tool shed, kitchen etc has 100 things that can kill, you can't ban them all.

not onto a winner there i suspect

It's a classic removing the effect instead of tackling the cause.

I can totally understand her need to try and stop this happening to anyone else but changing kitchen knives is not going to do it.

Change kitchen knives and almost all the ones not reground to have a point will be in the hands of those never going out to assault someone anyway.

And if you really want to wreak havoc you buy an illegal zombie  knife or machete off the 'net.

You could do a lot of damage with knitting needles

my post deleted but just look at the huusk kitchen knife if you think zombie knives are niche🙄

It's completely understandable that anyone who has directly suffered from such a horrific incident would want to campaign for a change in the law to change the circumstances of their incident, at least in theory.

Similarly, any parent whose child was killed by a motorist using a mobile phone could campaign for mobiles to be banned.

And so on, ad infinitum.

The simple fact is, these people are thankfully a tiny minority, and their desire for change, totally understandable as it is, will attract no interest from society as a whole, because this is not the way major changes are created or developed.
