//A family who went to court to protect a young girl from her paedophile father have criticised government legislation intended to help others in a similar position.

The Victims and Courts Bill includes an amendment which would remove parental responsibility from convicted paedophiles - but only if they have abused their own children.

In 2023 the BBC reported on a mother who had to spend more than £30,000 to protect her small daughter. Her ex-husband had been convicted of the most serious child sex offences, but kept parental responsibility over his own child.//

Should a paedophile retain rights over his own children?  Not in my opinion.

No

No they shouldn't.   What if the offences were committed against children older than his own and he later abused his own children as they matured. Often paedophiles have a history of child pornography. If nothing else they pose too greater a risk

Well if I had my way it wouldnt matter.

Castrated and 30 yrs on the NONSE wing.

No, they shouldnt have any parental right, what sort of warped mind thinks this is good?  Perhaps they need their hard drive examining too.

Why Does It Cost £30K To Do What Is Obvious To Anyone With An Ounce Of Sense? I'm just amazed that anyone could thinl that a paedo should be allowed anywhere near any children. They should be put down as vermin if you ask me. Clearly a genetically mutated biological error.

No.

If you are so morally bereft that you feel it is OK to commit such and evil act, I would suggest it would only be a matter of time before your own kids were in the crosshairs.

I'm surprised this is even a question. Of course it is a No.
