I hold no sympathy for Robinson - in fact I think he's a prat, but I do have a lot of sympathy for Connolly.

 

I would never condone her words, but it was clear she posted in the heat of the moment, realised what she had done, and deleted the post in quick fashion. The suggestion was it was "incitement", which is clearly nonsense, and the sentence she received was completely over the top.

 

I appreciate it can be argued it's a false equivalency to compare the punitive sentence she received against others, but it is very difficult not to when the likes of the paedophile Huw Edwards is walking free and she isn't. It just doesn't seem right.
